this is XPP2 that does not implement XmlPull and it is deprecated. it is 
recommended to use XPP3 instead (i checked it works ok for this example 
- it is available from http://www.extreme.indiana.edu/xgws/xsoap/xpp/mxp1/)

this is now fixed in XPP2 CVS please build 2.1.10 version from CVS
