Is there an apple fancier on the list? (was Re: [BLUG] Maildrop rules)

I used to have a clamshell G3 iBook that had a real hard time reading
any burned media. This might have been a power management issue, but
this was so long ago I can't remember the specific details.

Mac bootup key sequences:

c = boot from CD
t = boot in firewire target disk mode
option = select with partition to boot from
apple + option + o + f = boot into Open Firmware (replaced by EFI in
the Intel Macs)
apple + option + p + r = reset parameter RAM
apple + option + control + shift = boot from the next device on the
SCSI chain (old days)

There is a command key sequence to reset power management on laptops,
and of course holding down the power button will force a shutdown.

Will the iBook boot from "pressed" media? Is it skipping and crapping
out on your burned disk? If so, I'd suggest grabbing another Mac and
doing your OS install via firewire target disk mode, assuming the
Fedora installer will support installing to external firewire drive.

Hope this helps!
