Ironic that this is the same NSA that's involved in TrustedBSD and
SELinux. And when they collaborated with IBM in designing DES (tweaking
the black box parameters), several decades later independent
cryptographers came to the conclusion that the changes actually
strengthened the cipher's security.
Considering NTFS's encryption feature, which has a key escrow facility,
though, in this case NSA's involvement is suspect. Clipper through the
backdoor, anyone?
