Well, that's not entirely true, I do know one thing about Debian in relationship to Ubuntu. Ubuntu owes everything to Debian, as it's completely dependant on Debian. Ubuntu is only good because of Debian, as all Ubuntu is, really, is a specialized construction of Debian (with different artwork, release cycles, a more open community, etc.).
 
It's pretty important to remember the great debt Ubuntu owes Debian.

I don't know much about Debian on the server, so I'm not trying to say Ubuntu is better than Debian, it's just what I know.
