Hello,
I have downloaded the appropriate iso images to install opensuse on the above
machine. (Bought at a garage sale with no OS installed).
The machine boots up and displays (abbreviated version)
Can't read boot blocks
Can't open device disk0:0
booted from disk0:2,\suseboot\yaboot
boot:
It is then frozen - not able to enter anything at the prompt.
Question: From what I can find on the internet it appears I have to have a Mac
OS running to actually install a linux version - correct?
If the answer is yes - can I "fool" the machine by installing some Mac Utility
program (don't have and don't know what that would be) from CD that will get
me installing the linux OS quickly?
Any suggestions appreciated - I had hoped to give it as a Christmas present.
Thank you,
Peter Brown
